Just in: these photos from the first two shows in the Bill and Peggy Hunt Playwrights Festival at Burien Actors Theatre!

The shows in these photos, “They Walk Among Us” and “Escorting Tom,” run from April 14-23. The second set of shows in the Festival, “Winter People” and “The Law of the Sea,” will run from April 28-May 7.

From left to right, therapist Dr. Gold (Margaret Vandenberghe) is caught off guard when the earth begins to quake as her patient, the goddess Hera (Carrie Schnelker), loses her temper, while Hera’s husband, Zeus (Kevin Finney), looks on, disguised as a waiter, in They Walk Among Us at Burien Actors Theatre. In this one-act comedy written by Kirsten McCory, the gods Hera and Zeus move to suburbia and go into couples counseling. They Walk Among Us is part of Burien Actors Theatre’s Bill & Peggy Hunt Playwrights Festival, which features four new plays by Washington State Playwrights from April 14-May 7.
