Arts-A-Glow 2011

The fifth annual Arts-A-Glow lantern festival was an enormous success. Hundreds of people attended the event, bringing their own lanterns or making them on site. Everyone appeared to have a wonderful time, as they experienced Dottie Harper Park in a new light, decorated, festive and alive with music.

Classes offered by the Hi-Liners Fall/Winter 2011-2012

In addition to developing theatre arts skills, DSC classes can help you develop your ability to speak up in school, increase the creativity going into your homework and improve your classroom presentations. It is documented that having the arts in our lives makes us better students in general! In the Spring, all DSC classes shift to a rehearsal focus to prepare for our June Recital. A full production experience, complete with costumes, lighting, and a stage performance, but class is still only once a week!

Vision for Burien

Read the final Vision Plan approved by the Burien City Council on July 11th, 2011. Many of the local arts organizations came together with a solid front of advocacy, which paid off in the final plan. This is the top level statement in the plan: "Burien: A vibrant and creative community, where the residents embrace diversity, celebrate arts and culture, promote vitality, and treasure the environment."
